Insulated glass units, often referred to as IGUs, are made up of two or more panes of glass sealed together to help improve insulation and energy efficiency.
Over time, the seal around an insulated glass unit can fail. When that happens, moisture and condensation can become trapped between the panes, causing the glass to appear foggy, cloudy, or hazy.
Insulated glass units can also become cracked or completely broken from impact, weather, or normal wear.
At Daniels Glass LLC, we replace insulated glass units that are broken, damaged, or experiencing seal failure. In many cases, the existing window frame and sash can remain in place while only the failed glass unit is replaced.
This allows you to restore the appearance and performance of your window without replacing the entire window.
Call Daniels Glass LLC for insulated glass unit replacement in Denver and surrounding communities.

One of the most common signs of insulated glass seal failure is fog, condensation, or moisture trapped between the panes.
Because the moisture is inside the sealed glass unit, it cannot simply be wiped away or cleaned from the inside or outside of the window.
Your insulated glass unit may need to be replaced if you notice:
- Fog or condensation between the glass panes
- A cloudy or hazy appearance that does not go away
- Visible seal failure around the edge of the glass
- Cracked or shattered glass
- Moisture buildup inside the insulated glass unit
- Reduced energy efficiency around the window
- Discoloration or mineral deposits between the panes
A failed glass unit does not necessarily mean you need an entirely new window.
Daniels Glass LLC can inspect the window and determine whether the insulated glass unit can be replaced while keeping the existing frame and sash.

The first step is identifying the size, thickness, and specifications of the existing insulated glass unit. Daniels Glass LLC will inspect the window, take accurate measurements, and determine the correct replacement glass for the existing frame or sash.
Depending on the window, the replacement unit may require Low-E glass, tempered glass, tinted glass, different spacer sizes, or other insulated glass configurations.
The new unit must match the existing window closely to ensure a proper fit and seal.
Once the replacement insulated glass unit is ready, the failed or broken glass can be removed and the new unit installed into the existing sash or frame whenever possible.
In many cases, the entire window does not need to be replaced.
If you have foggy glass, condensation between the panes, broken double-pane glass, or a failed window seal, contact Daniels Glass LLC to schedule an assessment.
